We are in need of a fundraising/development director for some exciting future projects.
Development Director Job Description
Title: Development Director
Department: Club Management
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Pay Rate: $55,000 - $60,000 base salary based on experience, and eligible for an
annual bonus based on performance
Location: Hybrid - Ability to work from home, but must be available to travel to
Bailey and Fairplay as needed.

Primary Function:
This individual works with the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors to plan and execute
resource development strategies and monitor progress toward goals. The Development Director
is responsible for planning and implementing strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation
and stewardship of individual and corporate donors to support Boys & Girls Clubs of the High
Rockies. This position will also support the planning and implementation of fundraising
campaigns and annual special events.
Resource Development
1. Plan and execute steps for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
2. Conduct prospect research and cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors
3. Develop and implement process to acknowledge, engage, and steward donors
4. Work with Chief Executive Officer to establish fundraising goals for fiscal year
5. Collaborate to develop donor-centered messages and digital marketing content
6. Track, analyze and report fundraising performance metrics
Campaign Management
1. Plan and execute steps for fundraising campaigns, such as end of year giving, monthly giving, and capital campaign, as needed.
2. Work with the Chief Executive Officer to establish campaign goals and monitor campaign success.
3. Execute giving campaigns through email, direct mail, online, and social media
Special Events
1. Contribute to the planning and implementation of special events, working with Club staff and volunteers to coordinate activities and facilitate communications
2. Identify and recruit sponsors to underwrite event expenses or to donate items for silent auctions
3. Record all revenues received from the events
4. Recognize contributions with acknowledgement letters
Donor Database Management
1. Enter donations in to the Donor Database platform
2. Generate accurate, consistent and timely acknowledgement letters and tax receipts
3. Ensure the donor database is updated with the correct information and screen the database for duplicates, deceased or inactive constituents, bad addresses and donor solicitation preferences.
Skills/Knowledge Required
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
● A minimum of three years work experience in non-profit agency operations, specifically in the fundraising field, sales/marketing, or equivalent experience
● Considerable knowledge of fundraising techniques, and sources of funding for non-profit agencies and organizations
● Knowledge of the Boys & Girls Clubs mission, objectives, and of the principles and practices of non-profit organizations, youth development services preferred.
● Ability to organize and coordinate fundraising operations
● Strong oral and written communication skills, both verbal and written
● Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, Board members, volunteers, community groups and other related agencies
● Knowledge of accessing and managing donor data base
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Some moving and lifting is required.
