Notes from the 3/10/26 Meeting of the Platte Canyon Area Chamber of Commerce

General Updates

·        Monday, March 16th at noon in Fairplay the Board of County Commissioners is having a hearing on the request for the Platte Canyon Health Services District in Bailey. The question being asked is will the residents be allowed to vote on this issue? 


·        If you would like the Chamber of Commerce to publicize an event, submit your request via messenger on Facebook to the Chamber Facebook page.



·        The Town Hall meeting that the Platte Canyon Chamber of Commerce had planned has been rescheduled for Friday March 20, 6-8 pm at the Platte Canyon Fire House at 153 Dellwood Drive


·        Conifer Radio is working on creating a Bailey Radio Blues program. If you would like to have an announcement on that program, contact Mark Spiroff at ConiferRadio@gmail.com or call 720-634-6995


·        Chimney Doctors is having a sale on everything from wood stoves to gas powered fire rings. A large range of prices and items. 


·        A committee is planning an event to replace Bailey Days. It is going to be called All Bailey Community Day (ABCD) and it will take place on June 27th. More information to follow.


·        Rabbit Hole Adventures is offering a $100 discount for any Bailey area resident that books an expedition before April 30th. These expeditions are camping in the Rocky Mountains, taking night hikes and experiencing close encounters with Sasquatch!


·        The Sasquatch Escape Room is up and running. See if you are up for the challenge.

Featured Speaker

A presentation was given by the Colorado Small Business Development Center.  Audrey Snyder Welsh was the representative that provided the information. There were many services designed to help small businesses start and thrive. 


There are counseling services which include a CPA, events and workshops, a downloadable Business Resource Book and a FAQ page. Some of the workshops include bookkeeping, marketing, brand development, startup basics, loan navigation and disaster recovery to name a few.
